Friday Photos - Week 12

3/19/10 - Peeling Bark.

We have a very nice birch tree in the back yard. I like how the bark peels back.

3/20/10 - Stuck Squirrel.

This is actually a baby squirrel who didn't know to NOT enter our yard which is patrolled by two dogs. He eventually came down overnight. Click on the picture for a different style.

3/21/10 - Toy Time.

Snickers grabs a toy from the basket and is quite content to play by himself.

3/22/10 - Breakfast of Champions.

Ever since they got rid of Wheaties Crunch I've gone back to an old standby.

THEY'RE GREAT!!

3/23/10 - Oh Christmas Tree

We bought an artificial tree for Christmas last year. The problem is that I don't know where to store the thing. It's big enough to put a body or two in. So for now it still sits in the living room.

3/24/10 - Nice.

It was such a nice day out. The dogs were roaming the yard. People running outside.

3/25/10 - Crap

A cold front moved through and started dumping snow on us. Hopefully it will be that last time.

Friday Photos - Week 11

Sometimes I have more photos than I know what to do with. I can't quite find a favorite from a particular day. This week I have some special click-thru pics. When the words *clic-thru* appear, click on the picture and see the special secondary picture behind it......enjoy.

3/12/10 - I picked up some new running shoes. I went back to Mizuno Inspires. I happened to have some Yankz that matched the color scheme of the shoes. Unfortunately they are the color of a competing multi-sport team in the area. Oh well.

3/13/10 - Another working weekend. The guys I was working with had various NCAA tournaments on during the day. So we set up shop outside the computer room in this conference room with a nice TV.

3/14/10 - You should be accustomed by now to the morning picture from my hotel room when I travel for work.

*clic-thru*

3/15/10 - Dinner with family Monday night resulted in three bottles of wine being consumed.

3/16/10 - Snickers is 12.5 years old. He's been sleeping a lot lately. I hate to say it but most of the time I have to pause and make sure he's still breathing. He's a good boy.

*clic-thru*

3/17/10 - St. Patrick's Day. It's a non-event for us. But we did brave the surrounding neighborhoods for a quick bike ride. We avoided the roads due to the potential of intoxicated drivers.

*clic-thru*

3/18/10 - After my post yesterday I couldn't believe the toy I found in my Happy Meal from lunch. I must now follow the Force.

I have to offer two responses from yesterdays post.

MissFit Island: Fear is the path to the starting line. Fear leads to Fitness. Fitness leads to Confidence. Confidence leads to the finish line.

Big Daddy Diesel: Slow Yoda vs. New Yoda. Don't forget the "first" 3 movies Episodes 1 - 3 were a younger Yoda kicking some ass. The second set of movies, first to come out..Episodes 4 - 6, were an older Yoda by approximately 20 years. Luke was born at the end of Episode 3 and Episode 4 picks him up in his 20's. I'd be moving slow like Yoda too.

So to answer your question......Yoda kicks ass....no matter how young or old he is.

Game On

Friday Photos - Week #10

I may be a day late but I'm not a dollar short. Enjoy this weeks photos.

3/5/10 - Century Cycles in Rocky River had their annual customer appreciation party. Guest speaker was Jef Mallett, creator and writer of the comic Frazz. He has also written a book titled "Trizophrenia". Jef Mallett is a very funny down to earth guy.

3/6/10 - The snow is starting to melt in northern Ohio. Ruby is enjoying the warmer weather and loves searching for birds in the trees.

3/7/10 - The Mill Creek Distance Classic was on Sunday. I used this photo for my race report but I like it so much because of the friends who shared the time with me on this day.

3/8/10 - Here is the view as I pull up to my Crossfit gym. Love the caution tape.

3/9/10 - Aimee and Ruby cuddling in bed. Awwww, isn't she cute.....both of them.

3/10/10 - I went to the beach where we have our open water swims during the summer. Three months from now it will be game on in the lake.

3/11/10 - The tulips are starting to push through the mulch. They want to come out and bloom so bad.

Friday Photos - Week 9

2/26/10 - Because of a busy weekend, we did our 4 hour bike ride in the basement Friday afternoon.

2/27/10 - Saturday we drove down to visit my son and girlfriend in Louisville. And it was my birthday. We had an awesome time with them.

2/28/10 - We partied into the next day. A guy at the table next to us had this message put on the "Phase of the Night" mirror. He asked if Andrew and I were brothers.

3/1/10 - Back at home I started to strip down Aimee's bike. Time for an overhaul before Ironman Utah.

3/2/10 - I had a follow-up visit with my eye doctor. I've known Dr. Pete for 35 years. He's a good friend from when our ages were in the single digits.

3/3/10 - The finished product. Aimee's bike all pimped out in pink.

3/4/10 - What do triathletes in training eat. I couldn't take the picture fast enough to show you the tuna steak on a bed of rice surrounded with brussel sprouts.

Friday Photos - Week 8

2/19/10 - A later afternoon run on a sunny day.

2/20/10 - Frankie lives across the street. He loves the snow. I'm told he often spends the night outside on the porch.....he wants to. Brrrrr.

2/21/10 - This is the pool where I swam 8,000 yards.

2/22/10 - The flowers may wither, but the love lasts forever.

2/23/10 - Another icy morning in Ohio.

2/24/10 - Some reminders of last summers races and victories.

2/25/10 - Somehow I manage to find myself surrounded with beautiful women. Hence a big smile on my face.

Friday Photos - Week 7

2/12/10 - I had a great morning visit with the witch doctor. My right hammie was feeling much better after some deep massage.

2/13/10 - Fortunately we don't have any icicles on our house hanging from the gutters. But I liked this small one out the back door.

2/14/10 - Valentine's Day morning I was able to spend with the best group of lovely ladies I could ask for. Spending time with good friends running snowy winter trails....priceless. I love each one of them.

Tina, Mandie, Amy, Gina, Mary, Aimee, Cristi

2/15/10 - No....I'm not the man. I am showing off my retro Snakebite jersey from 2001. The team does a spin session every Monday at Ride + Workout. It's only $5 to drop in and have some fun.

2/16/10 - I went down to Huntington beach to take some pictures of Lake Erie. This is from the beach looking out over the frozen lake. On January 1 we plunged into the icy waters. Today we would have to walk a ways to find open water.

2/17/10 - I took the camera to the pool so I could get video of Aimee and I......swimming. Managed to get this pic as well.

2/18/10 - I walked around the house to make sure everything looked good. Ice, shingles, water damage. Just to make sure. I liked the view of the weather vane blowing in the wind with the clouds floating by.

Friday Photos - Week 6

Sorry the pics are up late this week. I had a hard time picking some pictures.

2/5/10 - Aimee had a Tri-Camp for the weekend, Friday - Sunday. This was her "baggage" for the first day of camp.

2/6/10 - Saturday night we watched LeBron James and the Cavs defeat the New York Nicks.

2/7/10 - Super Bowl Sunday. Some friends came over for food, drink and fun watching the game. One requirement for Aimee was Lawsons' French Onion Chip Dip. The Lawsons convenient store is long gone but the dip is still available.

2/8/10 - After I left a customer site Monday I snapped this picture of the fresh snow from the weekend across this ice covered lake.

2/9/10 - More snow arrived Tuesday.

2/10/10 - Snickers is definitely in the twilight years. He's 12.5 years old. He's sleeping a lot, his hips and hearing are fading fast but we can't imagine life without him. He's a great dog.

2/11/10 - Instead of driving to a customer at O'Dark Thirty, I was driving home this day in the dark. Eh....it pays the bills.

Friday Photos - Week 5

1/29/10 - Friday is a rest day for me. The laundry was all put away so if I can I put up my feet up and rest the legs.

1/30/10 - We attending the wedding for one of Aimee's ex-clients and friend. It was a very nice time at the wedding and reception.

1/31/10 - The first indoor triathlon for the Cleveland Tri Club was held. I volunteered for the race and took photos. Here are some of the runners getting as far as they can in 20 minutes.

2/1/10 - I managed to get this photo as I got in my car. The crisp clean air provided some great color.

2/2/10 - Why is it that each time I travel I wake up to fresh snow outside my window?

2/4/10 - Can you guess what type of ethnic neighborhood I was walking through? O solo mio...

2/5/10 - I liked the shadow the wind chime cast from the early morning sun.
