Family and Friends Friday - IM USA participants

There is a special kindred relationship I now share with participants of Ironman USA. Having lost my Iron-virginity at Lake Placid I am extremely excited to be travelling to this awesome little city with Aimee this weekend. We get to cheer for approximately 15 Cleveland area Iron-peeps, as well as some bloggers and the pro women.

Next week I will post my Ironman USA Spectator Race Report. This is going to be a great weekend.

Now I leave you with this moment of Zen:

Don't eat a jalopeno hamburger with onion rings and swiss cheese the night before a hard tempo run. It will come back to haunt you.....perhaps three times.....maybe even once during the run. Not that I have any personal experience with that.

Game On.

Oh Eric I feel ya on that quote. Except for me it was two helpings of dessert last night and then a handful of tortilla chips with salsa shortly before bed. Rather bright of me :)

Zowee! It's approaching lunch time here on the Left Coast and I'm not sure I needed that visual.

My worst was Mexican food the night before the race. I ended up not making the race the next morning. I think I was still on the pot when the starting gun went off.

And if you can survive "the hamburger" during a tempo run you are a burger king.

Hey Eric,

Its Dave Miceli....That was really cool of you and Aimee to volunteer and support at IMLP. As you know, it is so nice to see and hear familier faces when the going gets tough or even beforehand....you were there for everyone and that really says allot....Thanks again and rock on (I'd say game on but I can't possibly steal your line:-)

So cool to see you on the course! You looked very athletic and in kick ass shape out there riding around on your bike :) Cool camera as well! Can't wait to see all your pics!

Hmmm I had a burger with provolone cheese lastnight, AND onion rings! (no jalopenos) so i hope i'll be ok for todays run! :-o

We are still working out the logistics and schedule of the August trip....discovered yesterday we have plans with friends here on the 11th, trying to decide whether to bail and be in Ohio or come to Ohio on Sunday...

thanks for the link, my parents are in LaGrange, so that North Ridgeville race is looking tempting!

Add strawberry milkshake just prior to hill workout on a hot, humid day. I envy you at IMLP- that is my next ironman of choice....aaahhh someday
